About Us

At Camp1, our mission is all about creating awesome moments for kids and teens with T1D! Come join us June 10-14, 2024 and start your journey to T1D day camp with us! New to the Chicagoland area, Camp1 is designed to offer adventure and fun experiences for kids age 5-14 who live with T1D and their siblings.

Mission and Vision

Camp1's mission is to provide real-time community, confidence and connections among children and youth living with Type One Diabetes. We will build community by providing day camp, confidence by teaching and educating the importance of T1D basic skills and connections by providing fun and engaging networking opportunities.

Camp 1 Pumped for Fun logo

How did we get our logo?

Camp1 was born to create an opportunity and experience that allows kids living with T1D to see that they are not alone on their journeys with T1D. Our logo celebrates the journey and energy associated with finding T1D confidence and friends. The arrow in the logo enhances the sense of exploration and suggests a positive and upward direction. The number 1 at the end of the arrow suggests the amazing prize at the end of the treasure map and rewards of camp that awaits campers!

Benefits of Camp

Camp1 will enhance the overall well-being and confidence in T1D children by offering a typical day camp environment with medical supervision.
